About Me

Hi, my name is Serhii! I am a Full Stack JavaScript Developer with a focus on Frontend from Calgary, Alberta.

My journey into web development has started several years ago when I tried to fulfil my childhood dream. There were numerous online courses and books about HTML, CSS and JavaScript that I went through. Codecademy, Udemy, Udacity, TeamTreeHouse - you name it!

Also, I completed the Frontend Development Bootcamp at Computer Academy "STEP" in Ukraine (2016) and finished the React JS course at ComIT in Calgary (2020), worked on polishing my dev skills on different freelance and personal projects. All those efforts and skills transformed into a professional role as a web developer.

Currently, I'm a web developer at Blockstream Inc. I develop, support, and maintain all the company's main websites and a few web applications. I enjoy using my skills to contribute to Blockstream's work every day.

My toolkit as a Full Stack Web Developer is broad and continually growing. I specialize in JavaScript, but I'm also well-versed in HTML and CSS, including their advanced aspects. Here are some of the technologies and tools I work with:

Project: VideoDub

Videodub.io is an AI-powered platform that simplifies the process of adding professional-quality voice-overs to videos. It transcribes the speech, translates it (if required), and adds a natural-sounding voice-over in the language of your choice. It is a necessary tool for content creators seeking to extend their reach globally with minimal effort and no manual work.

JobNext is a landing page that was transformed from a Figma UI design to a responsive web page. This website was developed using ReactJS and Styled Components.

TokenSpector is a website and blog for the Crypto Analysis tool. Technologies used: NextJS and TailwindCSS. Design is custom and created using Figma.

TokenSpector Signals is a Telegram channel that informs subscribers about new listings on CoinMarketCap in real-time. Technologies used: ExpressJS, Telegraf, Heroku, Firestore, and Web3 and external API services.

Project: React + TailwindCSS + Firebase Boilerplate

A boilerplate for rapid ReactJS development using Firebase with Firestore as a BaaS and a utility-first CSS framework TailwindCSS.

Diabetter is a Diabetes Management Application that will help people with controling their sugar level in the blood. This web application is in progress. Desing - on Figma, tech stack - React, Sass, Firebase, Chart.js and other tools.
